Installed back in 2016, this custom Lighthouse design playground is inspired by the landscape around the Tooradin foreshore. Omnitech Playgrounds worked closely with Council throughout the project to complete an impressive play space for the community to enjoy for years to come. 

Featuring a 4m tall lighthouse tower with multiple slides and internal climbing and lookouts, this thematic tower was built in our old factory at West Heidelberg, using Cyprus Pine Timber slats with a galvanized steel frame. 

The range of equipment can suit children of any age and ability, with a rubber path along sensory play panels and to the inside of the base of the lighthouse allowing wheelchair access. Other equipment in space include our orbit spinner, natural timber log balance and swings, along with a custom crab Tri Roka and rubber octopus set into the ground. The Octopus was sculpted in concrete then coated with wet pour rubber and rubber paint was used to draw the eyes on.

Incorporating the natural elements and a colour scheme sensitive to the area and theme, this playground provides multi-dimensions of play activity and creating a destination playground that is keeping the local community very happy.
